Key Responsibilities

Set up and operate CNC machines (lathes mills grinders) according to specifications.
Read and interpret blueprints G-code and engineering drawings to ensure accurate production.
Perform quality checks on machined parts using precision measuring instruments (calipers micrometers gauges).
Monitor machine operations making adjustments to optimize performance and maintain product quality.
Perform routine maintenance on machines and tooling including cleaning and lubrication.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to machine operation tooling or part defects.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment adhering to all safety protocols.

Recommended Qualifications

Proven experience operating and setting up CNC mills and/or lathes.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints technical drawings and GD&T.
Strong understanding of G-code and M-code for program editing and troubleshooting.
Skilled in using precision measuring instruments (calipers micrometers bore gauges).
Ability to perform routine machine maintenance and identify common machining issues.
Knowledge of various materials and appropriate cutting tools and parameters.

Bonus Qualifications

Experience with CAD/CAM software (e.g. Mastercam SolidWorks CAM).
Proficiency in advanced metrology tools (e.g. CMM optical comparators profilometers).
Basic machine maintenance and troubleshooting skills.
Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles or continuous improvement methodologies.
