We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Grand Haven that are seeking skilled CNC Machinists. Key Responsibilities

Set up and operate CNC machinery including loading programs and materials.
Monitor machine operations to ensure proper functionality and detect potential issues.
Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments to ensure quality and adherence to specifications.
Read and interpret blueprints technical drawings and G-code.
Adjust machine offsets and tooling as necessary to maintain part accuracy and quality.
Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines and related equipment.
Troubleshoot and resolve minor machine alarms and operational problems.

Recommended Qualifications

Proficiency in setting up and operating CNC mills and/or lathes.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints schematics and G-code/M-code.
Experience with precision measuring tools (calipers micrometers gauges).
Strong understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
Knowledge of tooling selection offsets and basic machine maintenance.

Bonus Qualifications

Proficiency in CAD/CAM software for programming and simulation.
Experience with preventative maintenance and basic troubleshooting of CNC machinery.
Familiarity with advanced metrology tools (e.g. CMM optical comparators).
Experience machining exotic or difficult-to-machine materials.
Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles or continuous improvement methodologies.
