Salary Range: $57000 - $89000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across East Lansing seeking CMM Programmers who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

Develop validate and optimize CMM inspection programs from CAD models and engineering drawings.
Interpret complex engineering drawings GD&T specifications and manufacturing process sheets.
Perform first article inspections (FAI) in-process and final inspections using CMM.
Analyze inspection data generate detailed reports and present findings.
Troubleshoot and debug CMM programs and measurement processes to ensure accuracy.
Select appropriate probes styli and fixturing for various measurement applications.
Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve measurement discrepancies and improve processes.

Recommended Qualifications

Proficiency in CMM programming software (e.g. PC-DMIS Calypso MCOSMOS).
Strong ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
Solid understanding of metrology principles and CMM operation.
Experience with various CMM types and measurement techniques.
Knowledge of manufacturing processes and their impact on part measurement.

Bonus Qualifications

Experience with other metrology equipment (e.g. vision systems laser trackers optical comparators).
Proficiency in 3D CAD software for model manipulation or fixture design.
Familiarity with Statistical Process Control (SPC) and data analysis.
Ability to troubleshoot and perform minor maintenance on CMM hardware.
