Key Responsibilities

Develop write and debug CMM inspection programs using CAD models and engineering drawings with GD&T.
Interpret complex GD&T requirements to create accurate and efficient measurement routines.
Select appropriate probes tips and fixtures for various part geometries and materials.
Perform first-article inspections (FAI) and correlation studies to validate CMM program accuracy.
Troubleshoot and optimize existing CMM programs to improve efficiency and reduce cycle time.
Generate and analyze detailed inspection reports communicating results to relevant teams.
Maintain CMM equipment including performing routine calibration checks and minor adjustments.

Recommended Qualifications

Proficiency in CMM programming software (e.g. PC-DMIS Calypso MCOSMOS).
Expertise in interpreting engineering blueprints including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
Strong understanding of metrology principles and measurement techniques.
Experience with CMM operation calibration and maintenance.
Ability to analyze measurement data and troubleshoot programming issues.

Bonus Qualifications

Experience with other metrology equipment (e.g. vision systems laser scanners optical comparators).
Proficiency in CAD software for model manipulation and analysis (e.g. SolidWorks CATIA Inventor).
Knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) methodologies and software.
Experience with fixture design or fabrication for CMM applications.
