Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute CMM inspection programs based on engineering drawings CAD models and GD&T specifications.
Select appropriate probes fixtures and measurement strategies to ensure accurate and repeatable data collection.
Validate CMM programs through first-article inspections correlation studies and statistical process control.
Analyze measurement data identify non-conformances and generate detailed inspection reports.
Collaborate with design manufacturing and quality teams to resolve measurement discrepancies and improve part quality.
Perform routine maintenance calibration checks and basic troubleshooting of CMM equipment.
Maintain comprehensive documentation for CMM programs setup sheets and inspection results.

Recommended Qualifications

Proficiency in CMM programming software (e.g. PC-DMIS Calypso).
Expertise in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles.
Ability to interpret complex engineering blueprints and 3D CAD models.
Strong understanding of metrology fundamentals and measurement techniques.
Proven experience in CMM setup operation and troubleshooting.

Bonus Qualifications

GD&T Certification (ASME Y14.5)
Experience with multiple CMM software platforms (e.g. PC-DMIS Calypso MCOSMOS)
Proficiency in CAD software (e.g. SolidWorks CATIA NX) for model manipulation
Understanding of measurement uncertainty principles and MSA (Measurement System Analysis)
