Key Responsibilities

Develop program and optimize CMM inspection routines for various manufactured parts.
Interpret complex engineering drawings CAD models and GD&T specifications to create measurement strategies.
Perform CMM machine calibration probe qualification and maintenance tasks.
Troubleshoot and debug CMM programs fixtures and measurement results.
Generate comprehensive and accurate CMM inspection reports.
Collaborate with quality engineering and manufacturing teams to resolve measurement discrepancies.
Maintain CMM programming software libraries and associated documentation.

Recommended Qualifications

Proficiency in CMM programming software (e.g. PC-DMIS Calypso MCOSMOS).
Strong understanding and application of GD&T principles.
Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings and 3D CAD models.
Hands-on experience with CMM operation setup and calibration.
Knowledge of metrology principles measurement uncertainty and inspection techniques.

Bonus Qualifications

Advanced GD&T expertise or certification.
Proficiency with CAD software (e.g. SolidWorks CATIA).
Experience operating or programming other metrology equipment (e.g. vision systems laser scanners).
Knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) principles and data analysis.
