Key Responsibilities

• Source and evaluate suppliers for raw materials components and MRO items.
• Negotiate pricing terms and contracts with vendors to achieve cost efficiencies.
• Place and manage purchase orders to ensure timely delivery and production continuity.
• Collaborate with production and planning to optimize inventory levels and minimize stockouts.
• Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues related to quality cost and delivery.
• Identify and implement cost reduction initiatives and value engineering opportunities.
• Maintain accurate purchasing records and stay updated on market trends.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proven experience in strategic sourcing negotiation and supplier relationship management within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g. SAP Oracle) for procurement and inventory management.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes materials and supply chain principles.
• Demonstrated ability to achieve cost savings and optimize procurement efficiency.
• Excellent analytical communication and problem-solving skills.

Bonus Qualifications

• Proficiency with specific ERP systems (e.g. SAP Oracle Infor).
• Understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles or Six Sigma methodologies.
• APICS or ISM certification (e.g. CSCP CPIM CPSM).
• Experience with global sourcing and international logistics.
