Key Responsibilities

• Source evaluate and select new suppliers based on quality cost and delivery performance.
• Negotiate favorable pricing terms and delivery schedules with vendors.
• Issue purchase orders and manage their lifecycle from creation to delivery.
• Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with production to ensure material availability.
• Identify and implement cost reduction initiatives without compromising quality or supply.
• Ensure all purchased materials comply with quality standards and specifications.
• Resolve discrepancies with suppliers regarding quality quantity and delivery issues.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Buyer or Procurement Specialist in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (e.g. SAP Oracle) for purchasing and inventory management.
• Strong negotiation vendor management and contract management skills.
• Solid understanding of supply chain principles logistics and inventory control.
• Ability to read and interpret technical specifications and blueprints.

Bonus Qualifications

• Familiarity with specific manufacturing processes (e.g. machining injection molding electronics assembly).
• Experience with Lean manufacturing principles or Six Sigma methodologies.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g. Power BI Tableau) for spend analysis.
• Experience with international sourcing and logistics including customs and incoterms.
