The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Manage accounts payable and receivable ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments.
• Process payroll for manufacturing employees including wages deductions and tax filings.
• Perform bank reconciliations and maintain accurate cash flow records for manufacturing operations.
• Maintain the general ledger posting journal entries and reconciling accounts related to production costs and inventory.
• Track and reconcile inventory valuations and movements collaborating with production and warehouse teams.
• Prepare basic financial statements and reports such as profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes ensuring all financial data is accurate and complete.
• Monitor and record manufacturing-related expenses ensuring proper allocation to cost centers.

Recommended Qualifications

• Strong understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles.
• Proficiency with accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks ERP systems) and Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with cost accounting and inventory management within a manufacturing environment.
• Proven ability to manage accounts payable accounts receivable and payroll accurately.
• Excellent analytical and reconciliation skills for financial data.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with inventory accounting and cost of goods sold (COGS) in a manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with ERP systems commonly used in manufacturing (e.g. SAP Oracle Microsoft Dynamics).
• Understanding of standard costing principles and variance analysis.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
