We are partnering with organizations in Caledonia that are seeking Automation Engineers. Key Responsibilities

Design develop and implement industrial automation solutions including PLCs HMIs SCADA and robotics.
Program and configure automation control systems and devices to optimize manufacturing processes.
Troubleshoot diagnose and resolve issues with existing automated equipment and control systems.
Lead automation projects from conception through commissioning ensuring timely and budget-compliant delivery.
Collaborate with production maintenance and engineering teams to identify automation opportunities and improve efficiency.
Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for automation systems including schematics programs and operational procedures.
Ensure all automation designs and implementations comply with industry standards safety regulations and company policies.

Recommended Qualifications

Proficiency in PLC programming (e.g. Siemens Rockwell Automation) and troubleshooting.
Experience with industrial robotics (e.g. KUKA FANUC ABB) including programming and integration.
Expertise in SCADA/HMI development and industrial communication protocols (e.g. EtherNet/IP PROFINET).
Strong understanding of industrial control systems design implementation and optimization.
Familiarity with machine vision systems and various industrial sensors for automation applications.

Bonus Qualifications

Experience with industrial robotics programming and integration (e.g. FANUC KUKA ABB).
Familiarity with machine vision systems (e.g. Cognex Keyence) for quality control or guidance.
Knowledge of data historian systems (e.g. OSI PI) and basic data analytics for operational insights.
Exposure to Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) integration and data flow.
