Job Summary
Job Title: Specialist Speech and Language Therapist SEND
Banding: Equivalent to Band 6/7 (dependent on experience)
Location: Tadworth Surrey
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: Permanent Term-Time (2 days per week 14.8 hours)
Hourly Rate: Competitive (based on experience)
Working Hours: Term-time only 2 days per week
Job Overview
Pulse is currently seeking a passionate and experienced Speech and Language Therapist to join a multidisciplinary clinical team at a school in Tadworth. This independent specialist day school provides high-quality education for children and young people with autism and additional needs such as ADHD speech and language difficulties sensory issues and associated behavioural challenges.
As part of a joined-up clinical model you will work collaboratively with educational and residential colleagues to create therapeutic living and learning environments. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people with complex needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver specialist speech and language therapy interventions for children and young people with autism and associated conditions.
- Support teams around the child to ensure clinically informed environments and experiences.
- Provide assessment formulation and individualised therapy plans.
- Act as a model guide and trainer for staff promoting best practice.
- Contribute to service development and clinical governance initiatives.
Qualifications and Experience
- HCPC-registered Speech and Language Therapist.
- Proven experience working with children and young people with complex needs.
- Ability to deliver therapeutic interventions and support multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong organisational and leadership skills.
- Commitment to achieving the best outcomes for young people.
