Internal Medicine Nurse Practitioner
Compensation: $200K-$300K per year
Job Type: Part time or Full time. Flexible hours MondayFriday No call.
A well-established physician-led group with locations throughout Long Island is currently seeking to hire a Family Nurse Practitioner. This practice has built a stellar reputation for clinical excellence patient satisfaction and multidisciplinary collaboration. 100% outpatient.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a key clinical provider in the delivery of high-quality care.
- Provide direct patient care in an outpatient primary care setting including preventive acute and chronic disease management.
- Refer patients to appropriate specialty services as needed.
- Provide clear communication and education to patients regarding diagnoses treatment options and preventive strategies.
- Maintain thorough and accurate documentation within the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
- Collaborate with referring physicians specialists and care teams to ensure seamless patient care.
- Provide clinical oversight to nurses technologists and support staff within the practice.
- Stay compliant with HIPAA NYS DOH CMS and relevant payer guidelines.
- Participate in population health initiatives and support ongoing quality improvement projects.
- Contribute to the development of a sustainable patient panel aligned with practice growth objectives.
Qualifications:
- BSN and MSN from an accredited nursing school
- NYS RN & NP license BLS Board Certified
- Trained in Internal Medicine
- Strong diagnostic communication and interpersonal skills.
- Team-oriented with a patient-centered approach to care.
- Familiarity with EMRs and value-based care metrics is a plus.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with an ability to grow and manage a thriving patient base.
- 8 years experience as a NP
