About the role
Based at our office in Newstead we have an exciting opportunity for an early career Graduate Bridge Engineer to join our team. You will contribute to making the heavy vehicle industry safer resulting in fewer road deaths and injuries. You will do this by working with local councils to help them determine the capabilities of their bridges and culverts leading to opportunities for modern safer and more productive vehicles to access more of the road network.
You will undertake reviews of bridge assessments performed by contracted parties and contribute to systems to automate heavy vehicle access decisions by local road managers. This role will also support the development of guidance and training materials for road managers and asset assessors. You will have excellent professional support working under the guidance of the NHVRs Chief Structural Engineer.
This is a temporary full-time roleuntil January 2027 and you will be part of a close tight-knit and high-performance team.
