This Sales Manager role is ideal for an experienced leader who thrives in both a customer-facing and team management capacity. You will have the opportunity to lead a high-performing sales team while maintaining personal accountability for a territory driving revenue growth and fostering a culture of collaboration and development.
Key Responsibilities
As the Sales Manager you will oversee a team of outside sales representatives and manage your own sales territory. Your responsibilities will include:
Team Leadership and Development
- Lead and manage a sales team to consistently meet or exceed sales and margin targets.
- Coach develop and provide guidance to team members to enhance performance and skill growth.
- Conduct joint field visits and provide structured coaching to improve results.
- Take corrective action when necessary to maintain a high-performance culture.
- Foster collaboration across the team and encourage accountability for achieving goals.
Territory Management and Sales Execution
- Maintain personal accountability for a designated territory acting as a role model and active contributor.
- Cultivate long-term customer relationships and act as a trusted advisor.
- Develop and execute account plans to drive revenue growth market penetration and expanded share of wallet.
- Anticipate customer needs and align product or service offerings with business priorities.
- Travel periodically to other regional territories as required to maintain engagement and coverage.
Strategic Planning and Operational Alignment
- Balance operational oversight team development and direct customer engagement to align with regional objectives.
- Utilize CRM systems forecasting tools and data-driven reporting to monitor and optimize team and individual performance.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations Logistics and Finance to resolve customer or operational challenges.
- Drive significant market change and leverage opportunities for product category growth.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
- Degree in business or a related field preferred; equivalent work experience considered.
- Three to five years of proven experience in a managerial sales role.
- Demonstrated expertise in growth strategy distribution channel management account expansion and business planning.
Technical Skills
- Skilled in CRM and forecasting tools.
- Ability to create account plans reports and sales analyses.
- Strong understanding of sales metrics performance tracking and market dynamics.

Working Conditions
