About AMS

Aerodrome Management Services (AMS) is a professional services company providing a wide range of technical support and aerodrome management services to aerodrome owners and operators across Australia. Our growing team of aviation specialists provides support to our clients in the areas of aerodrome design project management and construction maintenance technical inspections and aerodrome surveys operational readiness airport security training regulatory compliance audits and ongoing daily operations.

About the Role

AMS is launching our Summer Internship Program offering students hands-on experience across engineering business systems finance marketing and project coordination. This is a unique opportunity to work on real projects gain valuable exposure to aviation operations and develop practical skills within a growing industry.

All candidates must be currently enrolled in tertiary studies.

The program dates are 15 December 2024 to 23 February 2025 with Specific start dates tailored to suit individuals availability and with flexibility options also provided.

Available Internships

Civil Engineer / Designer Intern

Support our Engineering & Design team with aerodrome infrastructure upgrades and redevelopment works. Assist with drafting technical design tasks and compliance documentation while gaining exposure to aviation-specific engineering standards and industry tools. This role offers a practical introduction to engineering in a regulated operational environment.

Bids & Marketing Intern

Contribute to bid preparation tender submissions and marketing collateral. Assist in developing consistent templates creating visual content and supporting proposal documentation using tools such as Canva and Adobe InDesign. This role blends creative design with commercial writing while working closely with business development leaders.

Systems Implementation Intern (Intake 5th January 2026)

Work with corporate teams to support the rollout and optimisation of systems across Finance HR and Regulatory functions. Assist with configuration documentation and workflow mapping across platforms such as OneReg Employment Hero and Business Central. Gain insight into how technology supports compliance and operational efficiency within aviation.

Finance Intern

Support the Finance team with reconciliations accounts payable/receivable and reporting tasks.
