The Boeing CompanyBoeing Defense Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for Materials Management and Transportation to join our dynamic team in Berkeley MO.
Position Responsibilities
- Manages and integrates employees activities across more than one area in materials management and transportation.
- Develops and executes project and process plans implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals.
- Acquires resources for projects and processes provide technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.
- Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers stakeholders peers partners and direct reports.
- Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches products and processes. Manages develops and motivates employees.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work on-site at one of the listed location options.
This position is for 1st shift.
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. (An Interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post Start is required.)
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- More than 3 years of experience working in or supporting a manufacturing environment
- More than 3 years of experience leading or managing a team
- More than 3 years of experience in supply chain or materials management
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Bachelors degree or higher
- Experience in lean processes and initiatives
- Experience interfacing with the Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA)
- Experience with Material Requirements Planning including the use of Compass Contract or a similar MRP system
Typical Education/Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 6 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master4 years related work experience 10 years related work experience etc.)
Relocation:
Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
Travel:
Position may require travel up to 10% of the time.
