Position Overview:
As a Hospice Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) you will provide compassionate and comprehensive care to patients in a hospice setting. Working under the supervision of registered nurses and other healthcare professionals you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for individuals with terminal illnesses and supporting their families during difficult times. Your primary responsibility will be to assist patients with activities of daily living ensure their comfort and provide emotional support to both patients and their loved ones.
MINIMUM POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
1. Current and Unrestricted Washington state Certified Nursing assistant (CNA)
2. Licensed in the State of Washington as a Certified Nursing Assistant.
3. Ability to work independently while maintaining excellent collaboration with team members.
4. Effective verbal and written communication.
5. Ability to stand frequently walk bend and lift up to 50lbs.
6. Comfortable with exposure to various home environments and conditions including potential allergens and pets.
7. Ability to lift and move patients as needed following proper body mechanics and safety protocols.
8. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a compassionate and patient-centered approach.
9. Must have reliable transportation and the ability to independently drive within Tri-Cities Chaplaincys service areas to provide in-home patient and family services and support in clients homes facilities and community locations.
10. Certification in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)/Basic Life Safety (BLS)
11. Washington State Food Worker Card issued by the Department of Health.
12. This position is designated as Safety Sensitive. Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen which includes cannabis testing in Washington State.
Per Diem Minimum Requirements
1. Available to work two (2) shifts per month
2. Available to work evenings nights weekends and holidays.
3. Available to work two (2) holidays per twelve (12) month period

Compensation
Hiring Range: $20.63/hour - $26.60/hour
Position Pay Range (or Salary Range): $20.63/hour - $31.98/hour
Premiums:
$2.50/hour Weeknight
$2.25/hour Weekend day
$4.75/hour Weekend Night
$4.00/hour On Call Standby
$2.00/hour Per Diem

Hiring Range: The starting pay range offered to new hires depending on experience and qualifications.
Position Pay Range/Salary Range: The full pay range for this position from minimum to maximum based on role responsibilities and market rates.

Eligibility for 401k plan (3% agency contribution and a 2% agency matching contribution starting after 1 year of continuous employment and at least 1080 hours worked within that time frame for eligible employees

5. Transportation: Maintain reliable personal transportation. Maintain a valid drivers license and vehicle insurance per state requirements.
6. Health Requirements: Satisfy state and agency health requirements by providing proof of immunization declinations or approved accommodations as applicable.
7. Screenings: Pass criminal background and drug screenings.
8. Physical Demands: Meet the physical and environmental requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.(see attached physical requirements)
9. Training and Orientation: Complete agency and departmental orientation and required training programs.
10. Continuing Education: Complete ongoing education policy reviews and training be designated deadlines.
11. Licensure and Certification: Maintain current licensure(s) and certifications(s) required for the role.
12. Language Proficiency: Read write speak and understand English fluently.
13. Work Availability: Be available to work as assigned or scheduled.
