Job Summary

Let your customer service skills and passion for NZ culture and history shine in this unique role. Ngā Taonga Sound & Vision the nations audiovisual archive is looking for a Customer Supply Advisor to cover an internal secondment. Working directly with broadcasters production companies museums iwi education providers and people from across New Zealand you will help to facilitate access and share the collections we care for.

This is a fixed-term contract running through to mid-August 2026.

Work with a diverse range of customers to facilitate access to the collection: from repatriating taonga to iwi sourcing archival content for films and reconnecting the public to material they or family members feature in.

Salary: $74712 $87897 superannuation (pro-rata for the duration of the fixed-term)

As a Customer Supply Advisor youll play a key role in helping New Zealanders to know their history and connect with their cultural identity. You will connect and collaborate with teams across our organisation and external stakeholders researching and using problem solving to clear access pathways and improve processes.

Respond to internal and external requests for access to the collections

Prioritise requests according to key strategies

Undertake rights clearances to respond to requests for access

Create manage and retrieve digital data for collection items

Draft and negotiate supply agreements.

Host on-site research visits

You are someone who is excited by the idea of joining a team that love working with the collection establishing and maintaining relationships with key customers and rightsholders and improving access to the collection.

You bring:

Previous customer service experience ideally in an office environment

Clear and concise written communication skills

Demonstrated drive for results and a keenness to learn

Ability to work in a fast-paced team

Proficiency in MS Office

Comfortable operating in a tikanga / kaupapa Māori environment.
