Senior Server Engineer

12 months contract
Australian Citizens with current Baseline clearance
NT - Onsite

Our esteemed Federal Govt. client is seeking an experienced Senior Server Engineer for a 12 month contract role.

As the Senior Server Engineer you will provide specialist Windows Server Active Directory and VMware administration services as part of a team to build manage and maintain the organisations application-hosting environment.

Key duties and responsibilities:

Design implement and maintain Windows Server and Active Directory environments in support of migrating workloads to a new Active Directory Forest in a sensitive and high-availability environment following all relevant policies and procedures.
Design implement and maintain VMware virtualisation infrastructure.
Implement security remediation and uplift.
Implement and utilise various monitoring vulnerability and fault analysis tools to troubleshoot and optimize operating environments.
Install customise and maintain Windows server operating systems and server hardware to meet client needs and in accordance with service level expectations.
Diagnose and resolve complex technical problems in consultation with clients staff external service providers and vendors.

Essential Criteria:

Demonstrated knowledge and experience implementing and managing Windows Server and Active Directory.
Demonstrated knowledge and experience performing Active Directory migrations in high-availability environments.
Demonstrated knowledge and experience implementing and managing VMware virtualisation infrastructure in accordance with VMware recommendations.
High attention to detail with good communication skills with stakeholders and clients and experienced in technical writing.
