Winchester Cardiology and Vascular Medicine is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our growing team at Warren Memorial Hospital. CNAs play a vital role in supporting clinic operations by assisting with patient examinations documenting health information and ensuring the smooth operation of clinical workflows.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Greet patients and escort them to examination rooms.
- Prepare office notes/templates for upcoming patient appointments.
- Accurately measure and document vital signs including pulse blood pressure respirations height and weight in the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Perform electrocardiograms (EKGs) following established protocols.
- Conduct a brief review of interim health history relevant to the physicians examination.
- Notify the physician of any significant health changes hospitalizations or urgent concerns.
- Retrieve and organize necessary reports hospital records or other documentation to support comprehensive patient care.
- Assists patients in completing required forms such as health questionnaires and medical histories ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Inform the physician when the patient is ready for examination.
- Provide assistance to physicians during examinations and procedures as needed.
- Answer telephone calls and assist with patient inquiries within the scope of knowledge and practice guidelines.
- Schedule patient appointments tests and referrals according to practice guidelines.
- Adhere to OSHA and HIPAA regulations to maintain patient safety and confidentiality.
- Monitor inventory levels order and restock clinical supplies to ensure seamless operations.
- Maintain clean organized and fully stocked examination rooms.
- Perform additional tasks or services as directed by the physician or administrator to support the team and ensure high-quality patient care.
Schedule
- Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.

Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Current certification as a CNA in the state of Virginia.
- Active BLS / CPR certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of employment.
- Preferred: At least 1 year of experience in a medical office clinic or other healthcare setting.
- Comfortable using EKG machines sphygmomanometers and basic clinical tools.
- Strong understanding of HIPAA guidelines with the ability to maintain strict confidentiality and privacy of patient information.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
