Role Title: Senior Occupational Therapist Developmental PaediatricsLocation:Vhi 360 Clinic CarrickminesContract: 12-month fixed termA 12-month fixed term contract position has arisen within our Vhi Paediatric Clinic for a Senior Occupational Therapist on our Developmental team. The successful candidate will work as a member of the multidisciplinary Paediatric team providing services to children and families in the Vhi 360 Clinic at Carrickmines. The post holder will be responsible for the provision of short term goal focussed occupational therapy services to include assessment collaborative treatment planning and intervention to children from 0-18 years who are experiencing mild to moderate developmental challenges.About usOur purpose at Vhi is to help our customers and patients live longer stronger and healthier lives. What will you do:This role will provide individual and group interventions (to include assessment planning implementation and evaluation of treatment programmes) tailored for specific ages and or/presenting difficulties within the scope of the Clinic.
Education & Experience- Registered as an Occupational Therapist by the Occupational Therapists Registration Board at CORU.
- Three years full time (or an aggregate of three years) post qualification clinical experience.
- Experience in community based primary care level services.
Skills and Abilities- Clinical knowledge clinical reasoning skills and evidence-based practice appropriate to carrying out the duties and responsibilities of the role in line with relevant legislation and standards.
- A comprehensive understanding of multidisciplinary team working which facilitates collaboration with the other members of the team in the planning and delivery of services for children.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills including public speaking and presentation skills.
- Exceptional planning and time management effectively prioritises tasks and has the ability to manage multiple complex tasks.
- Proactive commitment to quality assurance.
- Demonstrated alignment to the Vhi values
