JOB SUMMARY:
Manages all facets of the audition process for both park venue roles and marquee events. Manages and coordinates space staffing scheduling (for talent costume fitting and management) marketing and advertising of audition events. Facilitates all talent offers.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Plan schedule staff and supervise all park venue roles and marquee events such as Halloween Horror Nights Universals Holiday Parade Grinchmas and Mardi Gras. Supervises staff. Provides performance feedback of audition coordinators to Show Directors/Stage Managers for coordinators merit reviews. Duties also include scheduling all facets of audition events workflow and training of audition coordination staff. Authorizes overtime as needed.
- Ensure spending is within the scope of the annual casting/audition budgets and controls costs accordingly including staff labor supplies marketing (website) are within budget.
- Work with Casting Manager to ensure annual audition calendar ensuring Stage Managers and Show Directors meet timelines for casting needs.
- Negotiates space rental pricing. Selects musical accompaniment vocal coaches stunt/agility demonstrators coaches for auditions.
- Responsible for making employment offers to all performers managing casting documents meeting casting deadlines and making sure Show Directors and Stage Managers are in compliance with various company casting and recruitment policies.
- Orchestrate the timelines communication preparation and staffing of annual in-park contract auditions.
- Manages audition website - Creates verbiage and copy points for audition communication to maximize impact in the marketplace including ensuring copy meets Legal and Marketing approvals. Makes decisions regarding content timing placement etc. for both internal and external marketing and promotion of auditions.
- Understands and actively participates in Environmental Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy procedures training and team member involvement activities.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
SCOPE:
High level of confidentiality as Team Member has access to pay grades and contracts. Manages annual casting budget. Sensitive and proprietary knowledge of companys strategic entertainment plans (i.e. Halloween Horror Nights creative).
EDUCATION:
- High school degree or GED is required.
- Associates degree (AA) is required.
- Bachelors degree is preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
- 3-5 years of Theme Park Entertainment or Management Experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
