The Major Incident Support Team (MIST) plays a crucial role in ensuring that Hato Hone St John delivers a world-leading response during major incidents and large events. The MIST Volunteer Team Manager provides leadership direction and management support to these team volunteers. The Major Incident Support Volunteer Team Manager will provide volunteers with mentoring support and guidance.
Additionally:
- Conduct as well as participate in training.
- Manage the roster of MIST volunteers to ensure 24/7 availability of the resource and a maximum 30 minute deployment time frame.
- Participate in the recruitment and retention of volunteers.
Please note this is a non-clinical volunteer role.
Qualifications :
Ko wai koe - About you:
To be successful in this role you will need:
- A current clean full NZ Drivers Licence
- A First Aid certificate
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
- To be flexible resilient and able to maintain performance under pressure
- To be physically fit
- To be 18 years of age or over
- New Zealand citizenship permanent resident or resident status
