  • Temporary full-time role up to 12 months with the possibility to go ongoing 35 hrs/week
  • Office based in Parramatta; flexible working supported- other established work locations deemed suitable across NSW may be considered
  • Salary relative to experience ranging from $113574 to $125720 superannuation& annual leave loading

We are currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Records Officer/Sentencer to join the Information & Records Management (IRM) function at DCCEEW to support its work in ensuring compliance with industry standards and contributing to effective records management across the department.

About the Role:

As a Records Officer/Sentencer you will be responsible for appraising sentencing and disposing of both physical and electronic this role you will collaborate with the Senior Archivist and other IRM team members to ensure compliance with records retention policies and support consistent records management practices across the department.

Your duties will also include processing records updating metadata in the Electronic Document and Records Management System (EDRMS) providing archival guidance and collaborating with stakeholders to enhance records processes. You will also assist in the development of disposal schedules and oversee the digitisation of records to ensure proper management and storage.

About You:

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Bring expertise in records and information management with experience in EDRMS (preferably CM10)
  • Have a strong understanding of the State Records Act (NSW) and AS ISO 15489 standard
  • Be detail-oriented and organised with the ability to manage large volumes of records efficiently
  • Have excellent communication skills and stakeholder management
  • Be proactive offering advice and ensuring best practices in records management

Essential Requirements

  • Relevant knowledge and experience in Records and Information Management particularly in undertaking lifecycle management including disposal.
