We are looking for a post-secondary placement student to join our Bramalea Multi-Disciplinary Team and support the Primary Healthcare clinic. The Placement student will provide support to the Program Manager and clinical team completing administrative tasks that impact daily operations including front desk reception duties. The student is responsible for performing general office duties participating in committees and providing support as needed.


The placements are unpaid and will be up to 4 months long and for students looking to complete preferably 300 or more placement hours beginning in Winter 2026. This placement has alternating shifts between 8:00AM to 7:00PM.


Status: Unpaid Post-Secondary Student Placement


Location: 60 West Drive Brampton between Monday - Thursday and Fridays at90 Burnhamthorpe Rd. Mississauga. Due to the nature of this program this role is onsite.


What You Will Do:


  • Serve as the primary point of contact at the organizations main reception welcoming clients and visitors to our space.
  • Greet and support guests clients and other members of the public with scheduled and walk-in appointments and direct to the appropriate department of staff members.
  • Utilize second-language proficiency to provide interpretation support for clients as needed.
  • Process sort and distribute all incoming and outgoing mail for organizational programs.
  • Coordinate and schedule meeting rooms training spaces and shared facilities using the organizational Outlook calendar.
  • Facilitate any immediate requests and coordination such as receiving deliveries and engaging with vendors/service providers.
  • Engage with clients to collect client feedback.
  • Maintain supply inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level replenishing supplies ordering supplies as needed verifying receipt of supplies including both office and medical supplies.
  • Act as a liaison between the Program Manager and staff to ensure appropriate coordination and follow-up on day-to-day needs.
  • Manage and maintain confidential information.
  • Where applicable manage and maintain the Director and teams work schedule
  • Maintain electronic filing system as needed. Enter and update client data and pull data reports for program managers and funders as required.
  • Coordinate Physician/ Consulting billing (OHIP billing)
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What You Need to Join Our Team:


  • Post-secondary education in Social Services Healthcare Business/ Office Administration Health Services is required.
  • Related medical administrative support experience is an asset.
  • Prior experiencing managing client or health records and filing systems is preferred
  • Previous experience with OHIP billing is preferred
  • Lab certification and/or procedure training is considered an asset
  • Experience working with non-profits or social service agencies an asset.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills able to manage competing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to approach listen build trust and communicate across diverse cultures and intersectionality. Willingness to continually improve understanding around cultural competence.
  • Openness to operate from an anti-racist anti-oppressive 2SLGBTQ affirming and intersectional framework.
  • Willingness to learn and apply practical understanding of different elements of diversity such as gender identity/expression race/cultural background religion sexual orientation disability immigration and precarious status family status etc.
  • Fluency in a second language including ASL (American Sign Language) is considered an asset.
  • Ability to travel within and around Peel Region and Dufferin County
  • A satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Screening (Police Check) report.
