Position Summary:

QE Solar is seeking a motivated Apprentice to support the installationmaintenance and repair of commercial photovoltaic (PV) systems. Under the guidance oflicensed electricians and field supervisors the apprentice will gain hands-on experienceand technical skills essential for a career in solar electrical work.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist with the installation inspection and testing of solar PV electrical componentsincluding inverters combiner boxes conduit runs and wiring systems.

- Learn to read and interpret blueprints schematics and wiring diagrams.

- Operate hand and power tools under supervision.

- Support troubleshooting of system faults and assist in repairs.

- Follow safety protocols and OSHA regulations at all job sites.

- Maintain accurate documentation of work completed and materials used.

- Uphold QE Solars commitment to safety quality and professionalism.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or GED required.

Willing to Enroll in an electrical apprenticeship program required.

- Basic understanding of electrical theory and theNational Electrical Code (NEC).

- Interest in renewable energy and sustainability.

- Ability to work outdoors in varying conditions and at heights. - Valid drivers licenseand reliable transportation.

Working Conditions:

- Field-based role with frequent travel to project sites.

- Exposure to varying weatherconditions and potential electrical hazards.

- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs climb ladders and stand for long periods.

Specialized or Technical Knowledge Licenses Certifications Preferred:

• Inverter and/or BESS manufacturers certifications (e.g SunGrow Power Electronics Solectria BYD etc) a plus
• Thermography certifications (Level 1)
• IT/networking skills: Familiarity with RS485 Modbus tcp/ip etc.
• NABCEP PV Installer Certification
• Minimum OSHA 10/30 Certification
• Completion of NFPA 70E courses
• CPR/First Aid

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift 25/50/80 pounds regularly.
• Ability to move safely over uneven terrain.
• Ability to sit or drive for prolonged periods.
• Ability to safely climb ladders while carrying 50 pound.
• Ability to work in extreme weather.

Travel Requirements:

• Extensive travel regionally and occasionally nationally to meet client field operations needs.
