Job Summary
The Collections Manager will lead the full collections process ensuring accurate follow up reduced aging and consistent cash flow across the organization. This role requires someone detail oriented and proactive with the ability to resolve issues quickly lead a team and collaborate with billing and finance departments. The ideal candidate understands payer requirements denial management and healthcare reimbursement workflows.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee all aspects of the collections process
- Monitor aging reports and implement effective collection strategies
- Collaborate with billing finance and administrative teams to resolve payment issues
- Review claim denials and ensure timely follow up and resubmission
- Maintain compliance with payer regulations and internal policies
- Generate reports on collection results and financial trends
- Provide guidance and support to collection staff
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year of experience in healthcare or ABA billing and collections preferred
- Strong knowledge of insurance billing EOBs and payer systems
- Proven ability to lead a team and meet collection goals
- Excellent communication analytical and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment
