This opportunity is with a privately owned well-established urgent care group serving the greater New Haven area. The organization operates six standalone urgent care centers each located within approximately 35 minutes of one another.
Clinics provide full-service urgent care workers compensation evaluations and select primary care services. Providers are supported by experienced medical assistants on-site X-ray labs procedure rooms and an efficient workflow using the Experity EMR platform.
Each facility is designed to deliver high-quality patient-centered care in a fast-paced walk-in clinical environment.
The group is seeking multiple Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Family Medicine or Emergency Medicine Physicians to join its urgent care network across six nearby locations.
In this role you will evaluate and treat patients of all ages perform standard urgent care procedures and support occupational medicine services. You may work independently at times or alongside another physician or advanced practice provider depending on the shift and site volume.
The organization offers a flexible rotating schedule consisting of 7 shifts every 2 weeks including required weekend availability.

Provide urgent care evaluation and management for pediatric adult and geriatric patients
Perform standard urgent care procedures including:
Suturing
Splinting
Incision & drainage
Basic orthopedics
Conduct workers compensation physicals and occupational medicine services
Rotate between six clinic locations within a 35-minute radius
Work solo or alongside another provider depending on site and schedule
Document accurately using Experity EMR
Deliver efficient patient-centered care in a high-volume walk-in environment
Maintain compliant clinical documentation and follow organizational protocols
Clinics open 7 days/week
8:00 AM 8:00 PM
Physician schedule: 7 shifts per 14-day period
Must be able to work four weekend shifts per month
Patient volume: 2550 patients per 12-hour shift
DOT certification required (or willingness to obtain post-hire)
Graduate of an accredited MD or DO program
Completed residency in Family Medicine or Emergency Medicine
Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Physician
Active Connecticut medical license (or eligibility to obtain)
DEA license
DOT certification (or willingness to obtain)
Urgent care or emergency medicine experience preferred
Strong procedural competency required
Proficiency in suturing splinting I&D
Ability to manage all age groups
Excellent clinical judgment in a fast-paced setting
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Strong communication and patient education skills
