As a Mental Health Counselor you will provide brief solution-focused therapy group interventions and psychological support for adults participating in industrial rehabilitation programs. You will play a vital role in helping individuals regain control confidence and resilience following workplace injuries. This position emphasizes cultural and linguistic sensitivity interdisciplinary collaboration and elements of case management.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct intake progress and discharge evaluations documenting findings and preparing reports
- Develop and implement customized treatment plans focused on recovery goals stress management and resilience building
- Lead group therapy sessions that promote peer support and shared coping strategies
- Collaborate with the rehabilitation team to ensure integrated holistic care
- Document patient progress thoroughly in compliance with program and regulatory standards
- Participate in case conferences and team meetings to adjust care plans as needed
- Identify and address psychological factors impacting rehabilitation within a short-term intervention framework
Required Qualifications
- Masters degree in Counseling Psychology Social Work or a related field
- Washington State License: LICSW LMFT or LMHC in good standing
- 2-5 years of experience in mental health counseling ideally in short-term intervention or rehabilitation settings
- Skilled in facilitating group therapy sessions
- Strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative team-oriented approach
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with Washington State L&I guidelines and processes
- Experience with chronic pain and trauma-related care
- Strong computer and EMR documentation skills
