Barnet Youth Offending Service is seeking to recruit a Youth Offending Team Officers who have experience of statutory work with young people and their families. This is a fixed term contract/secondment for up to 12 months.
A key component of the job role is experience of working within the context of Youth Justice Boards National Standards Youth Court Case Management and good practice models which underpin core youth justice addition to this an understanding of research based theories related to children young people and family intervention would be beneficial to working within our holistic and systemic model of practice.
The successful candidate will be skilled in engaging assessing and delivering interventions designed to support young people to build personal resilience and move away from further view of Barnet Youth Offending Service following a holistic model of practice there is an expectation that Youth Offending Service YOT Officers can evidence sound risk assessment skills and safeguarding knowledge. Barnet Youth Offending Service has developed a strong ethic around multi-agency practice and this will require you to be a keen team player who has the ability to work effectively in partnership with other agencies in order to improve the life chances of young people in Barnet.
