We are currentlyseekinga talented and experienced Fire Plans Examinerto join our team of professionals. This position offersgreatopportunityfor dynamic motivated self-starters to work on a variety of work assignments.Youllbe a member of our highly respected team of professionals with a full complement of resources to support you and exciting projects to keep you challenged.
- Review fire protection plans and related documents for compliance with California Fire Code California Building Code NFPA Standards policies and jurisdiction requirements for commercial industrial and residential buildings.
- Projects include new residential buildings commercial buildings and remodel projects.
- Assist designers and contractors by providing information and interpretations of codes and regulations; answer applicant questions relating to plan review comments
- Responsible for preparing written correction letters and maintaining and updating records and database information.
- Work with fire and building inspectors to resolve field related code issues and coordinate activities with other municipal departments as directed.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Fire Protection Engineering or Mechanical Engineering (PE license preferred)
- Current ICC Certification as a Fire Plans Examiner
- California State Fire Training Plans Examiner Certification

Salary Range:$65/hr - $85/hr
