The Opportunity
The CDO Portfolio Office is the central team within INGs Global Chief Data Office (CDO) responsible for driving and tracking the Banks regulatory data transformation portfolio. The office ensures delivery in line with supervisory expectations oversees the advancement of key enterprise-wide data capabilities and integrates financial management and sourcing activities to enable stronger coordination and strategic alignment across the global data organization. The team develops a comprehensive integrated quarterly CDO roadmap monitors progress against global milestones and ensures consistent communication and stakeholder engagement across the Bank.
As a Change Expert V within the CDO Portfolio Office you will leverage your financial expertise transformation experience and operational excellence to support the CDOs strategic and regulatory agenda. You will be responsible for financial stewardship driving process improvements and delivering actionable insights that enable the CDO to achieve its objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert financial guidance and support to the Global Chief Data Officer and CDO Management Team enabling informed decision-making on transformation initiatives.
- Lead budgeting forecasting and financial planning activities within the CDO domain ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and proactively engaging stakeholders to drive financial performance.
- Deliver clear data-driven financial insights translating complex information into actionable recommendations for both operational and strategic decisions.
- Drive process improvement initiatives leveraging Lean Six Sigma and other methodologies to optimize cost structures and enhance operational efficiency.
- Track and report on the financial performance of all data-related activities across the Bank (approx. 2500 FTE) ensuring transparency accountability and alignment with enterprise-wide data investment goals.
- Collaborate closely with the Financial Controller ensuring consistency in financial reporting compliance and alignment across planning and actuals.
- Provide financial planning and analysis support for key transformation programs and strategic initiatives ensuring financial risks and opportunities are well understood and managed.
- Foster collaboration with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure alignment with business objectives and drive successful project outcomes.
- Support cost modeling resource allocation and efficiency initiatives and contribute to the global sourcing and location strategy to optimize the data operating model.
- Enable a cohesive view of the global portfolio financials and data capabilities translating strategy into execution with clear milestones and measurable impact.
Your Competencies
- Masters degree in Finance Economics Business Administration or a related discipline.
- 10 years of experience in banking financial management or transformation roles with a proven track record in budgeting financial planning reporting and operational efficiency.
- Lean Six Sigma Black Belt PRINCE2 Practitioner or similar process improvement certifications.
- Strong experience in stakeholder management project delivery and change management within large matrix organizations.
- Advanced skills in Excel PowerPoint and financial modeling; experience with data visualization tools is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
- Analytical client-focused and proactive with an innovative approach and a commitment to continuous improvement.
- Experience in non-financial risk management and regulatory environments is highly valued.
- Ability to work effectively across functions business lines and geographies.
