Functional Consultant, Campus Solution (Hong Kong)

The Functional Consultant assists customers with implementing Oracle Peoplesoft campus solutions. The role requires heavy interaction with customers implementation teams and partners. He/she will have implementation expertise spanning the full implementation cycle and be adept at implementing Oracle applications functionality.

As a functional consultant you will be responsible for deliverables at every phase of the software implementation lifecycle such as:

1. Preparing for facilitating and gaining agreement on global design
2. Documenting the clients as-is process flows and communicating best practices for the to-be optimal state
3. Adapting the solution for localizations or business processes specific to a clients business unit or operating location
4. Documenting and gaining agreement on the client configuration
5. Implementing and configuring applications
6. Developing a test strategy to validate the solution and confirming successful deployment
7. Identifying risks or issues associated with assigned tasks; taking initiative to proactively alert project leadership of any risks or issues

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with customers to gather and document customer business requirements
• Ability to influence customers to modify current business practices as required;
• Ability to manage scope and expectations with the customer
• Work with customers to implement and configure campus solutions to support customer business requirements
• Establish credibility and rapport with internal and external stakeholders; Ability to work within project teams and collaborate cross-departmentally
• Work collaboratively within a project team both on and off customer sites
• Analyze and design solutions for business requirements which may include complex configurations and/or technical components
• Assist in delivering client facing workshops
• Define detailed functional requirements
• Work with technical teams to design develop and test automations and integrations
• Perform quality reviews of deliverables developed by other team members
• Collaborate and communicate with Project Managers and colleagues to facilitate on time and on budget project delivery
• Train and mentor team members
• Achieve or exceed billable utilization targets
• Continue to increase product knowledge and pursue relevant certifications

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree programme or above in relevant discipline(s) including Business Management Business Administration Information System Computer Science Human Resources etc.
• Experience in HCM / Campus solutions implementation.
• Graduates or 1-2 years of experience in application implementation.
• Has a keen interest in customer facing consultant role.
• Ability to guide customer based on leading practices
• Ability to work well in teams as well as independently
• Good verbal and written communication and presentation skills
• Proficiency in English verbal and written
• Critical thinker problem solver curious learner
• Able to learn new products and technologies on the job quickly
• Capable to work independently take initiative with minimal supervision yet can participate as a team member with a willingness to help where needed
