Your mission
You will be part of the Innovation team of the company. You will be developing Proof-of-concepts in the context of various R&D particular you will deploy data processing framework & develop artificial intelligence algorithms (Deep learning Reinforcement learning). You will also contribute to the development of AI within Thales Belgium. You will be included in a team of both internal colleagues & external partners.
The working language is English French is an asset.
Main Responsibilities
The data & AI scientist will be involved in a series of Proof-of-Concepts aiming at demonstrating the feasibility of introducing Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the development of various capabilities for future products. Your task will be:
- to collect &/or emulate data;
- to develop software allowing to process these data and make them usable by our AI;
- to elaborate and train AI models and share this expertise with Eurocontrol by coaching junior data scientists within the team.
- to participate in the development of AI within Thales Belgium e.g. by building & operating an AI lab.
- to write technical reports.
We are looking forward to
Technical:
- Experience and good knowledge of Python (tenserflow/keras pandas numpy scipy scikit-learn matplotlib)
- Experience and good knowledge of SQL querying.
- A good knowledge of common statistical models and machine learning algorithms used in data science.
- Understanding of HADOOP/Cloudera framework inclusive HDFS HIVE IMPALA SPARK
- Experience and good knowledge of Linux OS and scripting techniques (Bash/Ksh)
General:
- Excellent presentation and communication skills.
- Experience with writing reports and publications related to AI topics in MS Word and/or LateX.
- Ability to understand business needs and analyze data
- A Masters degree or PhD in data science with option AI or relevant experience
- Fluency in English is mandatory.
