Description
- Complete a monthly review and reconciliation of general ledger account balances to ensure transactions are recorded in accordance with GAAP and established company guidelines
- Perform various accounting functions including but not limited to journal entries and reporting
- Account for fixed assets and intangibles including recording purchases disposals and booking monthly depreciation and amortization
- Assist with lease accounting entries in accordance with ASC 842
- Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations
- Support various tax filings (federal excise tax income tax property tax) for multiple locations
- Assist with various audits throughout the year including the annual financial statement audit
- Provide support to the Controller accounting team members and General Managers as needed
- Partner and provide necessary support detail to internal and external clients
- Responsible for the adherence to. and communication of. applicable financial controls and policies
- Assume additional responsibilities to support Modern Aviations evolving business objectives
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements and Preferred Qualifications
- Four-year degree in accounting or finance or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 0-2 years in accounting or finance roles
- Valid drivers license required
- Working towards receiving a CPA is preferred
- Ability to follow verbal instructions and written procedures
- Adhere to established policies in accordance with GAAP standards and regulatory requirements
- Consistently practice a high level of ethical behavior in handling confidential information
- Effectively manage time be organized and prioritize conflicting projects and tasks
- Exhibit flexibility willingness to learn new skills and ability to work collaboratively with other colleagues
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office applications especially Excel
- Polished verbal and written communication skills
- Regularly demonstrate accuracy and a keen attention to detail
Working Conditions and Physical Demands
- Constantly operates a computer and periodically move around the office to access office machinery e.g. copy machine
- Minimum travel across the network

Modern Aviations Pay Range
$25-$30 Per Hour Bonus Benefits
The Modern Aviation pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job education experience knowledge skills and abilities as well as internal equity alignment with market data or other law.
