Job Summary

Ibottas engineering team is growing and were looking for an additional Senior Software Engineering Manager to join our innovative team and contribute to our mission to Make Every Purchase Rewarding.

At Ibotta our engineering team is organized cross-functionally by squads that work on a variety of solutions for the company including the platform used by our clients to gain the most value from their promotional spend. Were looking for a senior manager that is inspired by mentoring a talented group of world-class engineers building client facing analytic and performance measurement solutions. A leader who can drive technical delivery own outcomes over output and engage with senior level product and business leader to guide the overall solution.

This position is located in Denver Colorado as a hybrid position requiring 3 days in office (Tuesday Wednesday and Thursday). Candidates must live in the United States.

What you will be doing:

Be an expert on the products and features your squads are building to solve the user problems identified with your product management partner
Work with Product Management to prioritize scope and plan business milestones
Build technical strategies with analytics and machine learning colleagues
Drive technical delivery plans that secure business value outcomes
Foster a positive engineering culture in line with Ibottas values
Work with the Director to build the technical roadmap
Ensure your squad has the people needed to be successful
Support timely delivery of engineering solutions to deliver business needs while providing a transparent view to progress
Actively coach and mentor team members in their careers
Be a reliable decision maker
Perform the role of Product Manager on Engineering driven Squads

What we are looking for:

5 years of engineering management experience with a proven ability to build awesome high performing teams and lead complex technical initiatives
7 years of experience as a software engineer
Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering Analytics or a related field required
Experience building and supporting foundational platform services
Experience leading multiple teams within the same functional domain
Understands and has practiced agile software development and management
Has had exposure to multiple languages and frameworks as either an engineer or manager
Comfortable managing team members with different skill sets and technical areas of focus and expertise
Motivated by a fast-paced environment
Demonstrates effective written and verbal communication

Additional Details:

This position is located in Denver CO and includes competitive pay flexible time off benefits package (including medical dental vision) Employee Stock Purchase Program and 401k match.Denver office perks include paid parking snacks and occasional meals.
Base compensation range: $162000 - $189000. Total compensation for this role also includes a variable component in addition to base salary. Equity is included in overall compensation package. This compensation range is specific to the United States labor market and may be adjusted based on actual experience.
