Were seeking someone to join our team as a Data Modeling Specialist in NFR Data & Analytics to help execute on our data centric strategy.
In the Legal & Compliance division we assist the Firm in achieving its business objectives by facilitating and overseeing the Firms management of legal regulatory and franchise risk. This is an Associate level position within the NFR Data & Analytics team who is responsible for establishing strong data governance building and leveraging data analytics and executing on our data centric strategy.

What youll do in the role:
> Participate in Data Modeling related projects and working groups.
> Support Non-Financial Risk management by deriving actionable insights
> Manage taxonomies to categorize business data and support various business processes such as risk management vendor management financial management or procurement.
> Provide guidance to key stakeholders on how to adopt data governance best practices and/or leverage data to solve problems.
> Enhance program processes where opportunities exist and perform analysis to support strategic projects that add value to LCD.
> Maintain data quality standards and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
What youll bring to the role:
> Good written and oral communication skills.
> Ability to work with global cross-functional teams.
> Direct experience in the financial services industry.
> Strong understanding of data management.
> Knowledge of semantic technologies SKOS modeling and experience using SPARQL.
> Experience in the categorization and use of business data in support of business processes.
> Familiarity with mainstream data processing and modeling programming languages (Python preferred).
>At least 4 years relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $80000 and $115000 per year at the commencement of employment. However base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package which depending on the position may also include commission earnings incentive compensation discretionary bonuses other short and long-term incentive packages and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
