Job Summary

SUMMARY

At Magnolia internships serve as opportunities for students and new professionals to gain experience in various fields by contributing their skills andexpertisetoward achieving organizational goals.Interns will be assigned to one department for the duration of the semester and specific projects or tasks will be determined per departmental need. Interns work from various Magnolia locations in Waco Texas. The Culinary Development Internreportstothe Research & Development Kitchen Managerand hasno supervisory responsibilities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assistin preparing and testing new and existing recipes for tastings
  • Attend and contribute toward food-related creative events
  • Shop for groceries and tools needed for food preparation and styling
  • Complete projects or tasks as instructed by internship supervisor
  • Participate in internship group development and service opportunities throughout semester
  • Collaborate with team members and key stakeholders todeterminethe priority and process of assignments
  • Ensure that projects are on track for correct execution within requireddeadlines
  • Hold all sensitive information with the strictestconfidence
  • Communicate effectively across multiple teams to ensure a cohesive goal isachievable
  • Perform other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Soft skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Education:Degree from a secondary institutionor current enrollment in degree program
  • Experience: Must be a college junior or senior graduate student orrecent graduate (up to two years postgrad)
  • General availability: Must be available to work15-25 hours weekly forthedurationof theinternship program

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job the employeeis regularly required tosit; use hands to finger handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear and taste or employee isfrequentlyrequired to stand and walk. The employee isfrequentlyrequired to climb or balance and stoop kneel crouch or crawl. The employee mustfrequentlylift and/or move up to 10pounds andoccasionally lift and/or move up to 25 vision abilities required by this job include close vision distance vision color vision peripheral vision depth perception and ability to adjust focus. WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this job the employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
