What we are looking for

We are looking for a team player with a minimum of 1 year of proven experience in a similar position in a hotel kitchen. You will consistently ensure the kitchen develops provides and maintains a standard of cuisine of the highest order. Responsibilities include:

  • To be fully conversant with the companies aims and objectives and to play a proactive role in their achievements.
  • To prepare cook and present high quality dishes within the specialty section.
  • To monitor portion and waste control.
  • To accurately measure meal ingredients for the Chef de Partie.
  • To prepare meal ingredients which includes seasoning of different meats as well as washing peeling and chopping vegetables and fruits.
  • To prepare basic salads and sauces as directed by the Chef de Partie.
  • To receive deliveries and verify that all ordered items have been delivered and are of good quality.
  • To take inventory of resort supplies and notifying the supervisor of low or depleted supplies.
  • To discard of all expired and spoiled food items stored in the stock rooms refrigerators and freezers.
  • To perform basic cleaning duties and ensuring that workstations are properly sanitized.
  • To plate and present meal items as per the Chef de Parties instructions

You will have the ability to work well with all team members and follow leadership instructions while working to a high standard in a busy environment.
