One of Maltas leading advisory firms is looking for anAssociate Lawyer Employment to join their this role you will provide legal advice and representation to clients on a variety of employment matters including workplace disputes regulatory compliance employment contracts redundancies and licensing issues. You will work closely with the firms partners and collaborate across practice areas to ensure clients receive comprehensive and practical legal solutions.
This is a full-time office-based role offering a salary of up to 50K depending on experience.
Role & Responsibilities
- Provide legal advice and assistance to clients on employment matters
- Conduct research and draft legal and judicial documents
- Draft review and update employment contracts policies and procedures
- Advise on job evaluation and equal pay compliance
- Represent clients in court and industrial tribunal proceedings supporting litigation and dispute resolution
- Support the legal team under the direction of the firms partners and collaborate on multidisciplinary matters across practice areas
Education Skills & Experience
- Fully qualified and admitted lawyer
- Masters in Law or solid understanding of related areas such as employment law discrimination data protection and health & safety is a plus
- 3 years post-qualification experience with a law firm or in-house counsel
- Fluency in English both written and spoken
- Practical experience in industrial relations and Maltese employment law
- Ability to handle complex situations with excellent communication skills
- Strong analytical and drafting abilities
- Positive results-oriented attitude with the ability to work under pressure
- Able to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team
- Keen interest in legal developments with a focus on growing personal expertise while contributing to the firms success in the employment practice area
