Engineer Test & Development (T&D)
Work Model: Primarily Onsite (limited WFH due to hands-on vehicle work)
Duration: 6 months (through 06/26/2026)

Job Summary
The Engineer T&D supports senior engineering staff by planning coordinating and executing engineering tasks related to heavy-duty vehicle testing and development. This role is highly hands-on requiring frequent shop and vehicle interaction close collaboration with technicians and adherence to established engineering standards and processes.

Key Responsibilities Engineering Support
Perform basic engineering calculations and investigations under close supervision
Support Senior Engineers in preparing plans designs analysis methods and reports
Assist with projects of limited complexity in a supporting role
Testing & Development
Help establish requirements for heavy-duty vehicle and equipment testing
Recommend necessary testing equipment and resources
Contribute to project estimates and test plans
Implement test plans and communicate requirements to engineers and technicians
Create basic fixture/test apparatus plans; supervise construction as needed
Coordinate monitor and evaluate test progress
Recommend corrective actions to maintain cost and schedule targets
Communicate test status and outcomes as required
Collaboration & Safety
Support test issue resolution meetings
Participate in prototype team safety discussions
Collaborate with internal engineering teams and external suppliers
Identify opportunities for improvement within defined standards
General Requirements
Ability to travel up to 10%
Regular attendance is required
Perform additional duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Engineering OR related field with internship experience
OR 6 months related professional work experience
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with automotive or heavy-vehicle equipment
