Diagnostic Science Liaison
Reports to: National Diagnostic Lead Department: Medical & Patient Affairs
Positions: 2 Zone & Location: EAST (Kolkata)
Travel Required: 70%
Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and scientifically driven Diagnostic Science Liaison (DSL) to support our portfolio of precision medicine therapeutics. The DSL will act as the field-based expert in diagnostic strategies engaging with key stakeholders across clinical diagnostics pathology biomarker testing and companion diagnostics implementation. This individual will ensure the appropriate use of molecular diagnostics to support the clinical development and commercialization of targeted therapies.
Key Responsibilities:
I. Strategic Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration:
- Identify and engage key external stakeholders (e.g. pathologists geneticists laboratory physicians oncologists surgeons) to understand local diagnostic landscapes.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with medical market access regulatory and commercial teams to align on diagnostic strategies.
- Support the co-creation of diagnostic pathways that integrate testing into clinical decision-making efficiently.
- Ensure accurate and timely transmission of scientific information between external stakeholders and internal teams.
II. Data-Driven Field Support & Test Optimization
- Lead field-based diagnostic activities and support priority accounts through data sharing and analytics.
- Provide strategic insights to internal teams on testing rates turnaround times barriers and opportunities.
- Ensure secure and compliant handling of patient or site-level data respecting data privacy laws and policies (e.g. GDPR HIPAA).
III. Scientific Education & Internal Capability Building
- Organize and deliver scientific training sessions for internal field teams on diagnostic principles biomarker science and testing workflows.
- Develop educational content and tools to explain diagnostic technologies and biomarker interpretation.
- Participate in and support external educational programs for clinicians and laboratory professionals.
IV. Diagnostic Access & External Partnerships
- Establish and maintain strategic partnerships with diagnostic test manufacturers and laboratory networks.
- Facilitate discussions on logistics test implementation and quality assurance.
- Support initiatives aimed at increasing awareness and uptake of companion and complementary diagnostics aligned to therapeutic indications.
VI. Precision Medicine Advocacy & Clinical Integration
- Promote early and accurate biomarker testing to optimize patient selection for targeted therapies.
- Work with healthcare providers to integrate diagnostic insights into treatment planning and care pathways.
- Contribute to the clinical adoption of precision medicine by linking diagnostic access to improved patient outcomes.
