Position: Oracle Cloud HCM Payroll Support
Location: Sacramento CA
Duration: 7 weeks
Process Controls Audit and Compliance
Document required controls for payroll accuracy reconciliation exception handling approvals and audit requirements.
Map existing compliance obligations (federal state union benefit garnishment rules) into future-state workflows.
Work with the Payroll team to identify and document internal-audit considerations impacted by process changes.
Testing Alignment & Support
Build and maintain process-aligned test scenarios and scripts for SIT and UAT (e.g. union pay scenarios shift differentials overtime retro adjustments off-cycle processing).
Ensure that the business understands what validations they are responsible for at each testing phase.
Track gaps identified during testing back to specific process steps or documentation issues.
Partner with functional/technical teams to confirm that test cases match expected Oracle behavior.
Operational Documentation (SOPs & Work Instructions)
Produce business-ready operational documents including SOPs step-by-step work instructions job aids and checklists for each payroll cycle.
Ensure all documents are understandable to non-technical payroll staff and align with future Oracle workflows.
Maintain version control and formal document organization to support training and ongoing operations.
Business Readiness & Knowledge Transfer
Conduct walkthroughs and training of new processes with payroll team members.
Provide hands-on support so payroll SMEs can practice the future-state process ahead of go-live.
Validate that the payroll team is prepared to execute the payroll cycle independently using Oracle.
