Alfred Health is a leader in health care delivery improvement research and education. We are the main provider of health services to people living in the inner southeast suburbs of Melbourne from ambulatory to inpatient and home and community-based services. On 1 January 2026 Alfred Health will come together with Kooweerup Regional Health Service Peninsula Health Bass Coast Health and Gippsland Southern Health Service to create Bayside Health a newly merged health service with more than 22000 employees caring for a community of over 1.2 million Victorians. The new health service will provide people with the best possible care with services that support them throughout their lives. The merger will also strengthen our workforce providing new training education and career opportunities. Subject to final approval on 1 January 2026 all employees from the five health services will transfer to Bayside Health.
The Department
The Organisational Development team at Alfred Health works to understand and improve the Employee Experience and build organisational capability that helps teams perform at their best. We listen to the voice of employees design initiatives that foster wellbeing and connection and support leaders and teams to grow constructive collaborative and high-performing cultures.
This is a team with a broad and impactful portfolio consulting with executives and leaders delivering leadership development and team programs supporting change and cultural initiatives and leading our Level 1 mandatory learning program.
The Role
As an Organisational Development Consultant you will provide specialist support to leaders and teams to strengthen team effectiveness and elevate the employee experience across Alfred Health. Drawing on a wide range of people and culture insights including engagement data cultural diagnostics leadership assessments and qualitative feedback you will identify opportunities for improvement and translate these into impactful evidence-based team development initiatives.
In this role you will partner with executives and local leaders to design and deliver end-to-end team-based interventions that build constructive culture enhance ways of working and reduce employee risk. You will facilitate capability-building workshops apply contemporary OD and human-centred methodologies and coach leaders and teams to build trust collaboration and psychological safety. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who combines strong consulting capability with creative evidence-informed design and a passion for enabling teams to perform at their best.
