About The Opportunity

In this position you will work closely with local communities to identify needs and develop strategies that respond to those needs. You will foster partnerships between Council community organisations and residents ensuring a coordinated approach to service delivery. The role involves advocating for disadvantaged groups and youth supporting inclusive programs and sourcing funding for community projects. You will also manage budgets and coordinate activities to achieve positive outcomes that strengthen community engagement and resilience.

About You

To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate the following key selection criteria:

  • Demonstrated ability to work with diverse groups including youth and disadvantaged communities.
  • Strong skills in consultation planning and stakeholder engagement.
  • Proven experience in sourcing funding and coordinating community projects.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Community Development Human Services Social Work and/or behavioural/social sciences.
  • Minimum of three years relevant industry experience or substantial experience in community development.

Mandatory Requirements

  • Current Class C Drivers Licence
  • Current Working with Children Blue Card
