Junior Systems Engineer

As a Junior Systems Engineer youll support the design integration and evaluation of complex systems that power the National System for Geospatial-Intelligence (NSG) Allied System for Geospatial-Intelligence (ASG) and partner Federal Agencies. Working alongside experienced engineers and government stakeholders youll help ensure the timely delivery of accurate and reliable GEOINT capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Support mid-level engineers and government teams in requirements engineering solutions design integration testing and system analysis.

• Assist in the planning traceability and analysis of user and system requirements ensuring alignment with mission needs and technical architectures.

• Contribute to the development of solutions and designs based on emerging technologies and system requirements.

• Help translate mission and customer needs into system and capability requirements.

• Support the allocation of requirements to system architecture components and programs.

• Participate in systems integration and evaluation activities across NSG and ASG environments.

• Assist with Analysis of Alternatives (AoA) Trade Studies Course of Action (CoA) development and Engineering Assessments.

• Contribute to strategic technical planning project management performance engineering risk management and interface design activities.

Required Education & Experience

• Education:

  • Bachelors degree in Systems Engineering or a related technical/scientific field such as:

    • Engineering Physics Mathematics Operations Research Engineering Management Computer Science Information Technology or Management Information Systems.

  • Equivalent experience may substitute for education:

    • 4 years with no degree or 2 years with a non-STEM degree.

• Experience:

  • 06 years of experience in Systems Engineering within government or industry.

Security Clearance

• Active TS/SCI clearance or

• Eligibility to obtain SCI and successfully pass a polygraph.

Preferred Qualifications

Technical Knowledge

• Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) concepts and languages.

• Understanding of Software Development Frameworks and life cycle processes.

• Knowledge of Geospatial Intelligence (GEOINT) principles and applications.

Industry & Agency Experience

• Prior experience supporting NGA NSG or ASG programs/projects.

• Experience on programs within the Intelligence Community (IC) or Department of Defense (DoD).
