GE Vernovas Greenville facility is not only GEs largest gas turbine manufacturing site but also home to the development and industrialization of technologies for turbine service and repair. The AMRT Process Development Engineer will be instrumental in creating industrializing and supporting robotics and automation processes and systems. The Intern will play a crucial role in developing cutting-edge Automation Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) applications. These applications are designed to support efficient engineering development through real-time feedback mechanisms.
The deliverables will encompass versatile solutions that can be applied expanded and scaled across a variety of engineering solutions. Wherever feasible these solutions will include comprehensive testing implementation and thorough documentation.

Robotics: Knowledgeable in robotic systems sensors and control algorithms.
Automation: capable of implementing automated processes.
Process Development: Skilled in developing and optimizing workflows using Lean methodologies.

Documentation: Strong skills in producing clear and detailed technical documentation
Problem Solving: Excellent analytical skills and ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues.

Understanding of GE Vernovas Products: Knowledge of GE Vernovas product offerings capabilities and limitations.

Basic Qualifications:
-Pursuing a Masters degree in Engineering.
-Minimum GPA of 4.0/5.0.
Desired Qualifications:
Knowledge of robot operations sensors servo systems and motion control systems
Knowledge of Machine Learning and AI Tools
Knowledge of process technology such as: Machining Robotics Automation Joining Coating and Inspection technologies
Experience with experimentation and root cause analysis
Good project management skills. Ability to work on multiple projects
Ability to learn share and train all levels of personnel in newly developed processes
Demonstrated problem solving skills
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
Familiarity with hands-on creation manufacturing engineering lab and quality systems
Product knowledge of gas turbines / turbo machinery is a plus

The pay for this position ranges from $35/hr. based on years of graduate field of study completed.
