Key Responsibilities
Microbial Testing:
o Conduct microbiological tests on raw materials in-process products and finished goods to ensure they meet company standards and regulatory requirements.
o Monitor and maintain accurate records of microbiological test results and trends.
Quality Control:
o Collaborate with the Quality Control team to implement and enforce food safety standards.
o Perform routine testing for pathogens spoilage organisms and allergens in products and raw materials.
Hygiene and Sanitation:
o Oversee and perform regular environmental monitoring of the production areas to ensure compliance with sanitation and hygiene protocols.
o Conduct microbiological analysis of water air and surfaces in the manufacturing facility to prevent contamination.
Research and Development:
o Support product development and innovation by conducting microbiological research to improve food preservation techniques shelf life and safety.
o Collaborate with R&D teams to troubleshoot microbiological issues and propose corrective actions.
Compliance:
o Ensure that all microbiological activities adhere to local and international food safety regulations and industry best practices.
o Prepare and submit reports on microbiological findings to regulatory bodies when required.
Requirements
Requirements
Education: HND or bachelors degree in microbiology Food Science or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years in a microbiology or food safety role preferably in a food manufacturing environment.
Skills: Strong knowledge of microbiological techniques laboratory equipment and food safety regulations. Attention to detail and ability to analyze complex data.
Location: Must be willing to work in Idanre Ondo State.
