General Position Summary:
The Prati Rewind Operator is responsible for setting up and operating Prati rewinders ensuring the high-quality finishing of printed labels. Your expertise in monitoring production processes and maintaining equipment will be essential in delivering finished products that meet our clients specifications and expectations.
As a Prati Rewind Operator you will collaborate closely with other production team members to maintain a seamless workflow and adhere to production schedules. Your attention to detail and commitment to quality will contribute to our companys reputation for excellence in the label printing industry.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate Prati rewinders configuring machine settings for various job requirements.
- Monitor the quality of finished products during the rewinding process making adjustments as needed to ensure optimal output.
- Perform routine maintenance on the rewinding equipment including cleaning lubrication and minor repairs.
- Collaborate with press operators and quality control personnel to ensure a smooth production process and timely project completion.
- Maintain accurate records of production runs including materials used machine settings and quality checks performed.
- Follow safety protocols and best practices to maintain a safe working environment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the rewinding process to minimize downtime.
- Utilize the ERP system used in Eurostampa to track down the production/downtime of the machine.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education and/or Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous packaging experience is preferred.
- Familiarity with printing equipment is a plus.
Specific Skills Competencies and Qualifications:
- Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of finishing equipment and processes particularly with Prati rewinders.
- Attention to Detail: Keen focus on quality control to ensure all finished products meet specifications.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues quickly to minimize downtime.
- Physical Stamina: Capability to lift heavy rolls of labels and stand for extended periods in a fast-paced environment.
- Team Collaboration: Excellent communication skills to work effectively with team members and other departments.
- Time Management: Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and meet production deadlines.
Physical Requirements:
- Lift/Carry 75% of Shift
- Standing 100% of Shift
- Walk 20% of Shift
- Reach Outward 50% of Shift
- Squat/Kneel 50% of Shift
- Lift Up To 40lbs 20% of Shift
- Must have the ability to distinguish and differentiate between colors for printing labels.
