Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

• Responsible for execution of design/turbine operation changes to bend the curve to mitigate failure rates in warranty fleet and leverage where possible into core fleet

• Utilize technologies like Artificial Intelligence and advanced analytics to reduce time to troubleshoot and replacement part cycle times to enhance the operational fleet

• Identify and develop programs to drive down time to return units to service

• Partner with Program Management and Product Line to guide optimal design decisions for current products new products and commercial deals to achieve business objectives

• Lead technical program teams on all system trade-offs and optimizations with a focus on the reduction of Services costs

• Communicate and provide recommendations through analysis preparation and presentation of technical material to internal and external audiences

• Lead major Services investments from pre-conceptual design work through design validation and launch prioritizing and managing risks on safety quality delivery and cost

• Contribute to development of the Multigeneration Engineering Plan for Services focused on improving operations through reliability and cost

• Effectively manage program requirements and requirement flow down to optimize product offering and competitiveness

• Work with Systems Leaders to leverage lessons learned best practices process improvements and standard work

• Support and improve the availability and serviceability of existing wind turbine fleet

• Contribute to new and existing design practices

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors degree from an accredited university or college

• Minimum of 5 years of significant experience in Engineering/Technology

• Minimum of 3 years of demonstrated experience working on wind turbine system-related projects

Ability to break-down complex issues determine possible courses of action and enable effective decision making

System or product-level mindset

Conceptual design and/or system-level trade-off experience

Wind turbine experience in design installation operation maintenance or repairs

Requirements definition decomposition and/or translation experience

Effective communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences

Strong interpersonal and leadership skills

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position the pay range for this position is between $111200.00 and $185400.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110% 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidates experience education and skill set.

Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
